HL7 advocates for interoperability standards that improve care delivery, optimize workflow, reduce ambiguity, and enhance knowledge transfer among healthcare providers, government agencies, and vendors. Stan is also a Professor of Medical Informatics at the University of Utah, and he’s worked in the area of medical vocabularies and medical database architecture for the past 20 years.
Stan will chair HL7 until the end of 2015.
