Total-body strength and cardio class appropriate for novice to experienced participants.

Great for those:

  • who enjoy working out in a fun and energetic group setting
  • who are ready to exercise at a moderate intensity and are able to get up and down off the floor
  • new to strength training OR those who have experience with it in the past

What to Expect in Strength & Conditioning:

The instructor leads the group of up to 8 participants through the workout utilizing a variety of modalities such as machines, weights, bands, and bodyweight. Emphasis is placed on performing activities with good form to maximize results and reduce the risk of injuries. A typical Strength & Conditioning workout includes the following components:

  • Warmup: dynamic stretches and movements to prepare the muscles and joints for that day’s exercises
  • Core: variety of moving and stabilizing exercises to strengthen all the core muscles not just the abs. Core strength provides a strong base of support for all other movements.
  • Strength: target all muscle groups with a variety of simple and compound movements. The instructor can help you determine what weight/resistance to use on each exercise to work towards your individual goals.
  • Conditioning: movements to increase heart rate and improve cardio fitness such as marching, glute kicks, or side shuffle. Cardio exercises may be mixed in throughout the workout or done as a separate section at the beginning or end of the workout.
  • Cooldown and flexibility: utilize modalities such as active cooldown, foam rolling and static stretches to return the body to resting levels, increase mobility, and decrease soreness.
