What is long COVID?

Long COVID is a chronic condition that occurs after SARS-CoV-2 infection and is present for at least three months. Long COVID includes a wide range of symptoms, like tiredness, shortness of breath, "brain fog" or trouble concentrating, dizziness, muscle or joint pain, weakness, and difficulty with exercise. These symptoms can be strong enough to affect your child's daily activities.

Other terms you might hear for these symptoms after COVID-19 are long-haul COVID, post-acute COVID-19 condition, post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC), long-term effects of COVID, and chronic COVID.

About us

Children with long COVID are likely experiencing symptoms that can make their everyday activities like school, hobbies, or sports really challenging. We are here to provide support and care for your child dealing with long COVID.

Our team starts by looking at your child's health history, we then create a personalized plan for them. This plan will likely include physical therapy and pain management strategies. Because long COVID can be very stressful, our team includes a Nurse Practitioner and a behavioral health psychologist to help support your child and their care.

To access our services, your child needs a referral from their regular doctor. With our team-based approach that addresses all aspects of your child's health, our goal is to help them feel better and get them back to doing the things they love.
