Differences of Sex Development

Learn more about Intermountain Children's Health DSD Center.

The Differences of Sex Development (DSD) Center at Intermountain Children’s Health brings together a team of specialists to evaluate and treat children with uncommon genital or reproductive anatomy. These conditions may result from chromosome or gene changes, hormone issues, or differences in genitalia.

It can be emotionally challenging to learn about these differences, but our team is here to offer you inclusive and supportive care. We provide information, guidance, and comfort, while connecting you with additional resources to address your needs.

What sets us apart

We are proud to be the only DSD program in the Mountain West, working together with many specialists to provide you the best care. DSD conditions commonly involve a combination of specialties, and the center allows our providers to offer a unique and personal approach to your child's care. We also work with a pediatric psychologist, who provides ongoing emotional support surrounding DSD decisions.
