We care for over 300 stroke patients each year and have been recognized with the highest award possible from the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® —Stroke program. This recognition highlights our commitment to delivering exceptional stroke care. St. Vincent Regional Hospital offers:

  • 24/7 emergency stroke care
  • Advanced stroke treatments, including minimally invasive endovascular procedures
  • A designated Intensive Care Unit with specially trained staff
  • 24/7 inpatient and emergency neurology and neurosurgical consultation
  • Outpatient care by neurologists and neurosurgeons

Our compliance rates meet or exceed national standards

Our compliance rates are at or above the national safety standard and meet or exceed the American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association's "Get with the Guidelines" performance targets. “Get with the Guidelines” is a national database to which all stroke centers submit their performance data in order to compare their stroke care to centers across the nation. These data measures include the speed of treatment and the quality of admission and discharge care to reduce the risk of a second stroke and address disabilities.
