Intermountain Healthcare utilizes temporary labor, also known as contingent workers, to assist in supporting operational or clinical services, as needed.

Contingent workers are required to complete orientation and pre-screening requirements before their work assignment can begin.

Contracted labor vs. non-contracted labor

Contracted Labor

A contracted temporary worker provides temporary services to Intermountain through an established contractual relationship known as a staffing agreement, between the worker’s employment agency and Intermountain.

Non-Contracted Labor

A non-contracted temporary worker provides services to Intermountain in a supportive clinical role for his or her employer, who is a privileged/affiliated physician of Intermountain.
